They are different. Seeing entire countries enjoy a thing contradictory to how you would gets you on the "Am I making bad life choices" level.

It's subconscious, and that is even if you already understand the fact that sometimes a precious cultural thing like a taco or rock n' roll becomes a de facto gift for the world to use.
