He’s getting 20mil for a year of his free agency. If he blows his arm out in year 6 without this, he’s not getting 20mil.

Hell, he might turn out to be Steve Avery 2.0 and be a competent guy only by the time it’s done.
This ain’t Acuna or Albies where they’re worth 30mil+ a year with limited risks. He’s a pitcher who throws hard. Dr Andrews has his TJS tentatively scheduled for June 2024.
