NFTs are a viable solution for unique digital items like in virtual worlds or tokens like certificates, degrees, etc.

It’s the universal online wallet we’ve been wanting for years. It’s when you get into the virtual art sphere that it becomes total nonsense. I “own” this drawing of a monkey, but anyone can make a copy of it and use it. NFTs are different than copyright and the initial flurry was from people who didn’t know that difference.
What NFTs are good for is to demonstrate that you have a college degree or CPR certification or a Superman t-shirt that you want to use in Overwatch or Fortnite or COD.
