Tangent: A local theater (think more live theater than movie theater) used to show vintage movies each week during the summer...

As part of the ticket price they offered free popcorn and pop. You could take your drinks into the theater, but you had to finish your popcorn in the lobby.
This... still confounds me. Banning both from the theater makes perfect sense to me, it's a historic building and you don't want to muck it up. I could also see allowing popcorn but banning drinks... But banning popcorn and allowing drinks???
They realize that pop will soak into the fabric and get sticky and popcorn can just be swept up, right?
