I started a new game this weekend with just some minor tweaks to the parameters.

I made some things harder, but also some things easier.
Being able to turn off the initial tutorial steps is great and lets you dive right into surviving and exploring.
I spent way more time on the initial planet this time that I have in previous play throughs
