I have never had local TV in the nearly 9 years living in Houston. Just internets. -- nm

Can you just use an antenna? That's what we do but not sure if mountains get in your way. -- (link*)

I took down our antenna back in W's second term. The reception was sometimes sketchy. That is a good thought, but I don't feel like putting it back

We're lucky we can get away with rabbit ears. Maybe try that for $10? Just go to the hardware store and look for the one about $10 and buy it to see.

Unfortunately, rabbit ears don't work well. The big roof mounted ones work better. -- nm

basically what I saw was Hulu $29, Hulu plus live tv $79. I don't think those networks are worth $50 to me -- nm
