My best guess is they wanted literally every single character to be a suspect, so his angry-jerkness was i guess to make us wonder about him.

also, i love how the dialogue implies Richard Kind and Margo Martindale are extremely elderly, but, like, hardly. They aren't young, but they aren't decrepit either. -- nm* - Andie Oct 17, 09:24
