But the real win for the state is what's touted as a convenience (subscription type model for registration) means that those plates have to talk to a server and I'm pretty sure that means those plates can be geo tracked. I mean if you were the state agency that approved those plates, whether you were up front about it or not, wouldn't you have had to listen to law enforcement who I'm sure got a say....and I'm positive that they saw it as yet another technology that they could swing in their favor. You know, just in case
