oof, yeah that sucks for sure. I'd definitely try and get them to cover it

for me, when they want something pricey, they'll usually check with my insurance first to make sure it is covered.
Did that for my grind guard (to prevent teeth grinding at night and some other check they wanted to do; but confirmed insurance covered both first)
