It's near a creek where open pits of spent uranium during WWII washed into (Coldwater Creek). Basically anything around that creek is a disaster and there have been a ton, TON of cancer cases from kids playing in it during the 70s and 80s.

Atomic Homefront was a documentary done about the creek and the dump about a couple of miles from our house where the waste was ultimately illegally dumped. Oh, and the dump has had an underground fire for a decade but don't worry, it's no where near the illegally dumped waste because we know exactly where they dumped it...
