"hoax". His defense had been (and I believe it was being defended by the justice department) was that his defamatory statements (that he didn't sexually assault her) were made while he was president and he was immune from claims for anything he said as president. But he just said it as a private citizen so he completely blew that defense out the window. They just need to amend their complaint to add the new statement.
