Also *in theory* if the Tories can’t agree on a new PM, maybe the king has to call one.

That seems unlikely because she hasn’t set an end-date, but if she resigned in the immediately leaving sense and they couldn’t agree on a new leader it might happen. The country can’t be without a prime minister.

Also maybe just general public pressure. They’ve never had a double switch mid-term, they’re hugely unpopular, and there’s a solid argument that Boris’s mandate is looking very frayed and shouldn’t extend to a third PM.

Last one I can think of is newbie gets a polling bump and risks it in a couple months.
