Yes but the cap drain has grown more dramatic. Watson costs $55M against the cap next year. That's 1/4th of the expected cap.

When Eli Manning won in 2011, his cap hit was 11.7%, and that was considered unwieldy.
This is an exploding issue due to the sudden decline of several high profile QBs contrasted to their expanding salary demands.
Rodgers has a cap hit of $31.6 million next year, while Wilson is at $55.4 million in 2025.
