As much as it pains me to say, I can easily see a situation where Graham sincerely believed that what he said in that particular conversation would be highly confidential. And if so, I'll bet he had plenty of frank and direct things to say that honestly believed wouldn't otherwise see the light of day.
And--as a believer in any number of established legal privileges that grant the same confidentiality--I have to grudgingly go with this.
Until I find out the fucker tripped up along the way and is actually doing something immoral, unethical, or illegal in this particular instance.
