We speak to our two cats *completely* differently.

We talk to Phoebe like "Little Phoebers, our little moofy moofins!"
We speak to Tallulah like, "Tallulah, let's go to the recycle bin (she comes running). Watch your tail, bud."
We speak to her like a roommate, not a cat.
we both do this.
