I'll give Detroit a pass for now because building EVs for the first time is an expensive proposition. Their first offerings

Are going to be higher priced vehicles or very modestly specced smaller vehicles.
With "range anxiety" a thing and the third party charging networks still being insufficient in scope and reliability, it makes sense to focus on the longer ranger, higher price vehicles.
