There is literally 8 whole months of Tesla's existence that he wasn't part of. They had no product *at all* at that point.

It's a ridiculous assertion that the success of Tesla isn't also his success.
He's many things, a lot of them infuriating and dangerous, but he didn't buy into a successful company and claim credit, he invested in a start up and made it successful.
