vice-president and lead cashier had taken a bad fall and 911 had been called. EMTs and an ambulance arrived and took her away. I later received a text from her that she had a broken back and wrist.
Meanwhile I was now lead cashier with the added stress of worrying about her. (Her husband is also a cashier so we were down 2 on the day). We had a very successful first day and shoppers were all pleasant and patient.
I left there at 4:00pm and headed down to the library for their Halloween event. I'd prepared 100 treat bags to hand out to the kids and we ran out in about 45 minutes. Next year I'll do 150.
Came home at ~6:30, apologized to the cats and threw a frozen dinner in the microwave. Now I'm lamenting being out of tequila and having to drink rum :/
Oh, and my brother in Nova Scotia emailed asking me to buy him some PowerBall tickets ;)
