Yesterday was the last debate. All reports suggest it was a watch. Bozonaro needed to win big and it seems he didn't. Being the rational man he is, he lost it in a press conference post-debate and had to be dragged out by his minions. That after refusing to answer a Portuguese reporter who asked about his image abroad saying he didn't speak Spanish or Portunhol so he would not answer that.
Today one of his main supporters, the second most widely voted Representative in my state was campaigning in the street (a few blocks away from where my sister lives, so a relatively uppity area), and a guy (he's Black, not that it's neither here nor there) started exchanging barbs with her. Being the rational woman she is, she and her minions get their weapons out (carrying is forbidden by law today, incidentally), discharge a weapon at least once, and run after him in a crowded bar and tell him to drop down. I mean, pretty normal stuff.
The two polls released today show Lula ahead by 4 and 8 points. Considering how bad they were in the first round, I'm still very nervous.
And in any case, my state seems to be on its way to electing Bozo's candidate here, so it's kinda bad no matter what.
