So here is the situation the job I got in June didn't really pan out the program I got hired for lost there contract in October so they put us with another company but the transition has been messy and the job isn't my cup of tea. So I put my resume out again and got interviewed and job offer pending background check much more stable better pay. Here is the sticking point because they haven't been able to verify my education. They want a copy of my diploma or transcripts. I have not seen my diploma in ages its not with me it's probably with my mom somewhere she has looked haven't found anything. But here is my point its been 37 years since I graduated have had a few jobs that have done background checks and have Never asked me for diploma or transcripts and I'm suppose to start monday.

Just as well I was never asked. There may have been an Australian 'Junior Certificate' somewhere for 3 years of high school.

The prior owner of my company would ask for diplomas, but that was because he got burned by someone who faked their education

Not that I recall. It would be rather quite troublesome for me. -- nm

Yes. I have had that. It is a total pain in the ass. I actually had to go once and get a copy from the school. -- nm

you can probably call you high school for a copy of your transcript, which should work. I've never even been asked for a college transcript,
