I'm down with it on all counts.

Those three are in the top 5 of all-time Jeopardy win streaks. I'm good with giving them bye into the semis based on past performance.
The wildcard slots I can take or leave. The format this year meant there were none. I do like the simplicity of win to advance.
I like the first to three wins format of the finals. Again, the simplicity is the appeal. No weird wagering necessitated by the two-day total score format.
