I do draw a line between the pyramid/house of cards that are these exchanges and DeFi in general and the underlying "OG" Bitcoin/Ethereum

I think you can have the constructs build around them collapse in a fiery mess and still have the underlying concept be legitimate. Corporations and individual banks or even markets collapsing are not the end of the USD, to use a somewhat flawed analogy
