I walked / rode my bike to grade school and heaven forbid, I played in the street. Curbs make for no doubt in bounds for football

Manhole cover worked at as a home plate.
Now that I think about it, I think we were smart of enough to prioritize personal safety over highlight toe tapping sideline catches and would just glare at the QB.
Though I guess we weren't above occasionally trying a pick play by running a route that would end up just passed a parked car.
