Well, got my new phone ordered, but it wasn't easy. *phew*

Added everything to my cart fine enough and went to checkout. Under payment options I chose "Google Store Financing" to get the 24 months no interest financing and hit submit. Nothing but a note at the top of the page saying Synchrony had declined payment and to contact them.
Log into Synchrony (who handles Google's store financing cards) to see if it's going to give me a fraud alert or something. Nothing. But I notice the "account ending in XXXX" at Synchrony doesn't match the "account ending in YYYY" at Google, so I delete the version at Google so I can add the correct version.
At this point I realize I don't actually know my account number. So I spend half an hour trying to find some way to get that from Synchrony's site. Eventually I chance upon the correct question to ask in the chatbot and get it, so I go back over to my google checkout to add it.
No option specifically for google store financing, so I try adding it as a credit card. Nope, "Card type not accepted". Try Google Pay on my phone, no dice either. Spend half an hour trying to figure this out googling ad whatnot, try another chat, but that doesn't even load.
Eventually I remember that Chrome also has my payment info. Find where that is in Chrome settings and that points me to update my Google Account. Finally THERE they have an option for Google Store Financing so I'm finally able to enter it!
The rest finally gets easy. Go back to the Google Store and reselect my phone and financing is finally an option at checkout.
Went with the Pixel 7 Pro, Hazel, 256GB with Preferred Care. They estimate I'll get almost $350 back with my trade-in 4xl.
