somehow U2, Springsteen et al sold out stadiums for years on end without price gouging the same fan bases

yeah i get Swift is maybe on another level at this moment, but there's nothing special about the current level of demand for live concerts relative to past tours (other than the willingness of the artists to jack prices exponentially on their fans)
