I bounced off Dark because it was too grim, but 1899 isn't as grim. It's heavy. In all aspects. The whole episode looked like some alt-history steampunk dystopia that was just heavy -- like everything is made with steam-powered equipment carved out of huge blocks of iron.

The whole atmosphere of 1899 is just great for an early November viewing. The characters are great, the plotlines are interesting, and I can't wait to find out what the Captain is hiding about his family. Were they on the Prometheus? Seems like it.
