there are rules that are supposed to be followed for being certified organic, but a lot of stuff gets passed as it that doesn't follow.

sometimes things taste better, sometimes not. there are lists out there of items that are best purchased organic vs. not - i.e., some fruits and veggies absorb more pesticides and such than others.
