I've read all three Clinton thrillers, that one and Bill Clinton/James Patterson's The President Is Missing & The President's Daughter. I'd rank them TPD, SoT, TPIM -- nm*

it’s not that far from cormac mccarthy, heh. (that’s not such a good thing to me.) it speaks to me more as needing a good editor, one that’s brave

I’ve had this argument with folks before. As someone who only had beta readers and not an actual editor, I implore any writer to get one. A good one.

That is 100% what it feels like - under-editing. I'll be throwing up a blog post in a few minutes that has the same problem. :) -- nm

my guess would be most of the time it's their agency packaging them with another actual novelist (usually in the same agency) -- nm
