Scotland is actively moving towards independence.

A few of our territories might be, but none of the states.

in that there are significant numbers of supporters of it, yes. Not in that there's an official plan to do it.

I can tell you that the UK parliament manifestly did not grant home rule to Scotland for the purposes of giving it training wheels to independence.
