Which poses an interesting question that a podcast devoted to the entertainment industry (and streaming in particular) might want to cover ...


Is it "cost" and "convenience" absolutely? Or primarily? Or is it a matter of return on investment?

I'll go to a theater in a heartbeat for the experience, whether it's an IMAX theater for particular movies (e.g., Top Gun 2 and likely Avatar 2 for me) or the experience of "going out."

But am I in the minority?

People seek out any number of unique entertainment and recreation experiences like cruises, theme parks, and sporting events. Shouldn't movie theaters make the "movie-going experience" unique enough apart from watching movies in a home theater environment?
