I could ship a couple six packs, or a pack of pint bottles, of some great Oregon microbrews to you (or your BIL directly if you prefer) pretty reasonably. A good six-pack will run $12 to $15, and some of the holiday seasonal releases will run 1.5x to twice that. The pint bottles of really good varieties will run $5 to $10, but then there are some specialty holiday releases with certain ingredients or brewing process (e.g., aging a stout in a port wine barrel or a whiskey barrel).

And assume that shipping will cost about the same as the beer itself.
