Places like that don't care though. They schedule so tight that one person not coming in screws everything. Even at my theater we ask for doctor's

notes. And that's for a bunch of HS and college kids. We would never say bring in your dead dog though because that's just sick. But we would also let them know their shift is their responsibility and if they don't get it covered they will get a write up.
