fwiw, some of their work has turned into some very successful products.

including from some partnership research with companies (including one I know very well, ahem), some completely unrelated to defense.
wikipedia does a better job than their own site for finding those, theirs seems geared to someone from congress looking at it ahead of a defense funding round.
check “other programs” and “key accomplishments”…
