So Pokemon Go Scatterbug… go for the furthest away/hardest to obtain gifts first?

If I only have 3 friends in Asia, open their gifts first and pin their postcards. Because if I pin 3 local postcards, then in “round 2” I need 9 postcards from Asia, and in “round 3” I need 15 postcards from Asia?
