Most used to knead bread with the hook attachment, but I use it for baking throughout the year as well

I'm not a huge baker but regularly make stuff for the holidays - cookies, cakes, etc.. I used it to make both a cheesecake and a pumpkin pie for T-day. The smaller bowl would have probably been fine for those, but it would have been close.
You could probably get away with the mini if it's just for mixing batches of cookies or a cake now and then. It would be too small to do most breads though if you are considering getting into that. Of course you can always just knead your bread by hand, but the mixer makes it so much easier.
I'll use mine this weekend to make dinner rolls for Xmas dinner on Sunday
