He was in the middle of an intense game and it just shut off and died, he reported.

My theory is that either the power circuit failed (a $30 fix) or the GPU burnt itself out from overheating.

Can't warranty it because I had already warrantied it for a broken screen, a process which went much more smoothly than I had feared.

Anyway. The model is about 3 years old now so it's probably in that price range.
