In response to ""Tesla salespeople say 'a lot' of customers canceling reservations and not signing new leases blame Musk's Twitter behavior." -- (link)" by decline

Oh, I believe it happens, but also "a lot" at any particular location is probably very low double digits

It's also unreliable since sales are predominantly done online with no sales person interaction at all.

The leasing info is probably slightly more reliable since the cars need to be turned in at a Tesla facility.

At this point the media has a new reason to be hyper focused on everything involving Tesla, Musk, or any individual Tesla vehicle. Musk certainly deserves the attention, but it has yet to be seen if anything at Tesla itself has been noticeably affected.

If a company is relying on debt to function on a day to day basis, the halved stock price would be a lot more ominous, but Tesla has free cash flow in the billions and miniscule debt. And, if the concern is that Musk is too erratic to be trusted, his ownership stake has dropped nearly in half, giving him less leverage against a board that could (and should) be looking very hard at replacing him as CEO. Tesla is beyond needing a PT Barnum to keep the show running.
