We always have folks bringing consumer products in and wanting to use them for enterprise functions.

I go to conferences where folks talk about using Amazon Echo to control systems in classrooms, or an Apple TV for digital signage. Firstly, the point-to-point networking needed for this non-sense wouldn't flying on a secure network. But secondly, consumer devices aren't made for that kind of repeated and prolonged use. That's why a 50" NEC display is bulky and costs 3x as much as that 70" TV you decided to buy at Costco. Because one of them will last you two years and the other will last you 10.
