Of all the wuss afflictions to have I think my having oral allergy syndrome is right at the top of Mt Wussmore. I can't eat

apples, peaches, plums, or pears without my lips and tongue itching and tingling to an uncomfortable degree. My chest feels somewhat tight when I eat these fruits as well. What I have read suggests that cooking these fruits negates some protein in them that causes the reaction hence why I can have pies or cobblers etc.

This does not seem to happen with red or green grapes, oranges, bananas, watermelon, or berries.
