I canceled Hulu for a very similar reason.

Because I have an annual subscription they wouldn't upgrade the package. I would have had to cancel my current subscription, jump through whatever hoop to get a refund of the remaining value, then resubscribe to the bundle.
They refuse to make that easy for existing subscribers. So I refuse to give them more money.
