That's not entirely true, but I have no facts to back that up.

The rack houses that the barrels are in are limited, and they had to have barreled them years ago.
I will likely always remember going to the Buffalo Trace distillery and seeing the rack house that holds (essentially) the world's supply of Pappy's. One red warehouse, and it's only like 3 floors high. I was like...that doesn't seem like a lot.
So Buffalo Trace has more storehouses, but still, there is a limited supply.
