Don't hate the game, hate the players: I've more and more settled on the idea that channels have a very sticky tone that is hard to steer.

On my work side we have a vocal minority who seem intent on browbeating everyone into depression on one forums site but complacency on another, vs. general positivity on Discord - all in discussing the same content.
I haven't been to the other site in forever but your comment makes me think the crowd there has settled into a certain posting style and focus.
All the more highlighting how fortunate we are here that we're able to self-moderate with varying levels of vulgarity and disagreement because we mostly understand there's no animosity or callous opinion intended. HSXTT is great.
