it's fine but as far as the CGI tech has come in 13 years, there's never a moment where i thought i wasn't watching a video game

and putting more "real" actors next to the avatars just highlights how uncanny the valley still remains. which ultimately makes it hard to emotionally connect to the story Cameron's trying to tell
