That is, can there immediately be another vote? Do they need to vote out the current winner? Is it "one and done" until the next session?
Responses:
Once a speaker is elected, you’d have to have a majority support for a motion to vacate in order to have another vote for speaker.

Depends on the rules. Currently, I believe it takes a majority of the ruling party but McCarthy gave away the house to lower it to 5 GOP to call -- (edited)
