since lige you say godparent are meant to take care of a childs religious upbringning in case the parent can't...

it's a bit of a dark thing in a chistining ceromony that atleast reminds people of faith that death is a part of life...

i don't know if the right work is "morbid" perhaps "dark" is more correct...
