I hate it when I get obsessed about things

LIR: $85 "mistake" using hourly pricing

1) Deal with it, may never happen again, will save money overall (already saved almost $30 in the first 2 months) assuming this isn't a regular occurance

2) Replace EV charger with smart version ($550 cost unless I can sell mine - could relocate mine to parents for my own use occasionally), integrate with IFTTT/HA

3) Integrate with Kia directly to stop/pause charging during high cost. $149 annually but I get to keep my remote start features while I pay (was considering), integrate with IFTTT/HA

4) Look for some kind of smart 50A switch (they exist, saw one for $115) and get it wired in. Integrate with IFTTT/HA

Going some kind of integration route seems smart because there are other things I could do based on the high usage (reduce AC usage, turn off space heaters, etc.) But now I'm like: "Really, you're going to spend $150/year to avoid $85?"
