what pisses me off even more is how this would have destroyed solar credits I build up during the year -- (edited)

now, we haven't built up any because we went online in the fall but as pissed as am with myself for burning $85, I'd be even more pissed at myself if I think that an event like this would ruin a bunch of solar production
Ultimately it is truly bad luck combination of "market pricing" and my EV usage converging at the worst possible time. The same spike from 5pm to 9pm on 12/23 cost me $21 vs. the 12/24 one at $85. I can kinda live with the first one
