Blue Apron was helpful for a while in introducing me to a few ingredients I wouldn't have bought on my own.

I didn't have any problem with them but eventually accumulated enough of their recipes that I could figure out what to shop for at the grocery store and save some money.
Maybe two slight drawbacks: 1) over time their recipes were variations on the same thing (burger and potato, or tacos, just with different toppings), and 2) the portions were intended for two, but one portion left me hungry and two was slightly more than I needed. I was essentially paying $22 per large meal.
