Oh, Dems shouldn't vote for anything they don't have a hand in crafting, but if they can craft rules that sideline

the extreme right, that's better than not.
And it commits them to nothing as far as legislation is concerned.
Two years of House dysfunction sounds good, but can have devastating effects for the debt ceiling and the budget process next year. That has economic effects and voters *almost* always punish the President's party when the economy is bad, regardless of messaging or actual fault.
