My second youngest has a mind similar to mine. I learned the downside to not being specific in language with him, too.

"Go left..."
He goes a bit more left in the lane he's in.
"More left."
Now in between lanes.
"A lot more left."
I grabbed the wheel and put him where needed to be.
I wish there was a class for autistic and special needs kids and their parents learning to drive. It's such a different process.
